Scientific Planning Committee

The Scientific Planning Committee Members help to define the scope of CPD programs that CHEP+ provides.  They work alongside members of C-CHANGE and guideline panel members to ensure the integrity of the programs to the C-CHANGE recommendations and practice relevancy to primary care health professionals.

CHEP+ and the Scientific Planning Committee operates under the following principles:

  1. Accountability to its target members and audience;

  2. Competency-based;

  3. Informed decision making as a committee through the input and consultation from relevant stakeholders such as professional bodies, accreditors, CPD providers, and make final judgements based on the committee members decisions;

  4. Consensus building to develop processes.

Funding

CHEP+ operates as an independent body with funding sourced from both the public and private sectors. CPD funding should align with the committee’s purposes for CPD – improving quality of care for patients.

All content is developed independently to ensure the integrity of the programs to the best practices outlined in the C-CHANGE Guidelines.
